Scaling with 0G: Infrastructure for an AI-Native Blockchain

The promise of decentralized AI requires a new kind of infrastructure—one built for massive scale, high throughput, and seamless data availability. From its inception, 0G has risen to this challenge, positioning itself as the first modular, AI-native blockchain designed to power the next generation of intelligent applications. By creating a unified stack for decentralized storage, computation, and data availability, 0G offers a solution to the limitations of traditional blockchains.
AstroStake recognized this potential early on. We joined the 0G ecosystem not merely as validators, but as dedicated builders committed to strengthening the network. Our mission has been to provide rock-solid infrastructure, create practical tools, and empower the entire community of developers, operators, and delegators.
From the Ground Up: Supporting the Community Through Testnet
Our commitment to 0G began in the trenches of the testnet. We saw that many new operators, while enthusiastic, were struggling with challenges like incomplete documentation and lengthy node synchronization times.
To bridge this gap, we developed and shared a suite of resources designed to simplify the onboarding process. This included:
- Auto-install scripts to automate setup.
- Comprehensive manual guides for deeper understanding.
- Regular snapshots to dramatically reduce sync times.
- Troubleshooting tips and quick-start sheets for a smoother experience.
All these resources were centralized in our documentation hub, which quickly became a go-to reference point for community members getting started with 0G.
Infrastructure Engineered for Scale
Beyond community guides, we invested heavily in building robust, scalable infrastructure. Our public RPC services were deployed to meet the network's growing demands, and the results speak for themselves. What began as a modest service now handles over 9 billion requests per month, with a daily average of around 300 million requests.
More important than volume is reliability. We have proudly maintained a 99.99% uptime throughout the testnet, providing a stable backbone for developers and applications interacting with the 0G network in real time.
During this period, we also identified a community pain point: the official 0G RPC endpoints were often overloaded by Storage Node operators. In response, we launched the Community RPC Dashboard, a monitoring tool that aggregates the real-time status of all community-registered RPCs. This gave operators the transparency needed to select the most responsive endpoint at any given time, decentralizing reliance and improving network-wide performance.
Empowering Delegators with a Seamless Staking Experience
A healthy network relies on more than just operators; it needs engaged and empowered delegators. With this belief, AstroStake introduced the 0G Staking Dashboard, a clean, intuitive platform for delegators to stake their assets directly to their chosen validator.
Featuring WalletConnect integration, the dashboard allows users to securely connect their wallets and delegate in just a few clicks. It also enhances transparency by providing clear, accessible validator information, helping delegators make confident and informed decisions.
The Hybrid Growth Model: Institutional Backing Meets Community Power
One of 0G's most compelling attributes is its hybrid strategy for growth. The project has secured significant institutional support, including a $35 million pre-seed round and a $40 million seed round, providing the resources for ambitious technological development.
Simultaneously, 0G remains deeply committed to its grassroots community. A remarkable 56% of the total token supply is allocated to Community & Ecosystem Growth, which includes rewards for early contributors, node operators, and testnet participants. This dual approach ensures that as 0G scales, its community remains at the heart of its success. AstroStake is proud to operate within this model, contributing the infrastructure and tools that support sustainable, community-driven growth.
A Technical Look: The Nodes of the 0G Ecosystem
To achieve its ambitious goals, 0G employs a modular architecture with several specialized node types, each playing a critical role:
- Validator Nodes: Secure the network by processing transactions and maintaining consensus.
- Storage Nodes: Manage the decentralized, long-term storage of large datasets and AI models.
- Key-Value (KV) Nodes: Maintain a real-time log layer for dynamic data access.
- Data Availability (DA) Nodes: Ensure high-throughput data availability for real-time applications and rollups.
- RPC Nodes: Provide API endpoints for applications to interact with the network.
- Alignment Nodes: Monitor other nodes to safeguard data integrity and ensure consistent AI behavior.
AstroStake has been deeply involved in operating Validator, Storage, and Data Availability (DA) Nodes throughout the testnet, and we are fully prepared to continue and expand this role at mainnet.
The Road to Mainnet and Beyond
As 0G approaches its mainnet launch, the foundation built during the testnet is ready for production. Our role as a validator and infrastructure provider will continue, driven by an unwavering commitment to reliability and community support. We will keep building robust infrastructure, providing tools that reduce friction for operators, and ensuring delegators have a transparent and seamless experience.
We are incredibly excited for the future of 0G and are ready to scale alongside it.
